Country music is making its way to the SLO Brewing Co. stage with the Randy Rogers Band on Jan. 19.
A five-men country band from Texas, the Randy Rogers Band has been steadily gaining recognition in country music fandom.
Its last album debuted as the most-downloaded country album on iTunes, and the band has been acclaimed by Rolling Stone magazine as one of the Top 10 Must-See Artists in 2007, according to the band’s website.
SLO Brew event and promotion supervisor Jessica Puchli predicts a very successful show.
“It’s entertainment,” she said. “It’s country music. It offers a good time to anyone who attends. It’s for anyone who likes country or anyone who wants to experience something new.”
SLO residents are looking forward to the band’s Sunday performance.
“I love all types of music, but country is definitely one of my favorites,” animal science junior Kellie Wiebe said. “The first time I heard their music, I really liked it. I’m really excited they are going to be performing here in SLO.”
The five-piece band will be performing songs from its latest album, Trouble.
The band will be accompanied by Wade Bowen. The show is 21 and over and is slated to begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available for $18 in advance and $20 at the door.
