“Decision Making and the Law” is a class for Cal Poly students who commit offenses ranging from alcohol and drug violations to truancy, according to the University Police Department (UPD) website.
A student who committed such an act would be referred to the mandatory class by either University Housing or the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities.
Registration is simple. Simply go to the UPD website “Decision Making and the Law” webpage and register.
Classes are usually taught by UPD Officer Frank Herrera and a Coordinator of Student Development (CSD), Herrera said.
