UC Santa Barbara’s Chris Pontius may have provided some bulletin-board material for the Cal Poly men’s soccer team heading into the teams’ meeting at 8 tonight in Alex G. Spanos Stadium.
He told the Daily Nexus: “I really don’t see Cal Poly stopping us. If we put our A-game on the field and play well for 90 minutes, I have no doubt that we’ll come away with a win.”
Last year’s contest featured 45 fouls, four yellow cards and a red card. Expect more of the same tonight in front of what could be the largest college men’s soccer single-game crowd this year.
