The recent notion of Cal Poly possibly joining the Western Athletic Conference in the somewhat near future may have gotten some validation when WAC commissioner Karl Benson told reporters not too long ago “anything’s on the table” to alleviate the conference’s travel problems.
The Reno Gazette-Journal reports he said “the majority of us would like a 10th team” and “it’s just a question of who is available and does it make sense.”
