Video of Sharon Day reaching the Olympic “A” standard in the women’s high jump at this past weekend’s Big West Conference Championships at Cal State Northridge surfaced on the Internet, at the Big West’s official Web site.
She cleared 6 feet, 4 3/4 inches, becoming only one of four women in the country to have achieved the feat within the time span relevant to competing in Beijing.
