Michael Brune, executive director of the Sierra Club will be speaking on clean energy options in Chumash Auditorium Monday night.
The program is hosted by the Santa Lucia chapter of the Sierra Club, Cal Poly’s Biomimicry Club and the Green Campus program.
Brune, the leader of the Sierra Club — the oldest and largest grassroots environmental group in the nation — authored “Coming Clean: Breaking America’s Addiction to Oil and Coal,” and organized the Beyond Coal campaign.
The presentation begins at 5:30 p.m. Students can purchase tickets by sending an email to sierraclub8@gmail.com before the presentation and may request to pick up the tickets at the door. Tickets are $10 with a student identification card.
