Orfalea College of Business Dean Dave Christy will be leaving Cal Poly for Baruch College in New York City this summer, where he will be serving as the provost and senior vice president of student affairs, according to a Cal Poly press release.
Christy, who has worked at Cal Poly since 2004, will act as the chief academic officer at Baruch, and will oversee operations at all of the university’s colleges, including the Zicklin School of Business, which is recognized as the largest collegiate business school in the nation.
An interim director of the Orfalea College will be announced in the coming months while the college begins looking for Christy’s replacement.
