Big Gigantic mixology: one part saxophone, one part drums, two parts DJ. Mix well. Add half a thousand fans. Place onstage at The Graduate. Enjoy.
The electronic dance music (EDM) group Big Gigantic will take the stage at San Luis Obispo’s The Graduate on Oct. 7.
“This tour is different because it’s a live show,” Collective Effort Events partner Johnny Kenny said. “There are not only DJs, but a live sax and drummer, looping all together in an EDM, dubstep kind of feel.
“Anyone who has seen them live will say it’s one of the most incredible live shows you can see because the way the interweaved saxophone and drums all come together is pretty incredible.”
Audience members will be treated to an incredible LED stage set up, Kenny said, calling the concert a “sensory overload rarely seen on the Central Coast.”
While promoters estimate 500 to 800 people will attend the concert, many Cal Poly students are not making Big Gigantic part of their weekend plans.
“I didn’t really know about it,” computer science senior Robert Burton said.
Attendees must be 18 or older. Tickets can be purchased at Collective Effort Events’ website or Boo Boo Records. The concert starts at 9 p.m.
