The Cal Poly women’s basketball team routed Idaho 77-60 Saturday to finish the Courtyard by Marriott San Luis Obispo Holiday Beach Classic 2-0.
The Mustangs (4-2) were led by senior forward Megan Harrison’s 17 points. She also contributed four assists.
Cal Poly trailed for just 22 seconds before a 3-pointer by sophomore guard Rachel Clancy gave the Mustangs the lead for good six minutes into the contest.
Cal Poly led by 14 points at halftime and held the Vandals (1-4) to just 36.4-percent shooting for the game.
Sophomore forward Kristina Santiago, freshman guard Ashlee Burns and junior forward Becky Tratter added 10 points each for the Mustangs, who are in the midst of a five-game homestand, their longest in nine years. Senior forward Lisa McBride added seven points and a team-high seven assists.
The Vandals were led by guard Derisa Taleni’s 16 points. Yinka Olorunnife hit 9 of 10 free throws en route to 15 points and a game-high nine rebounds.
The Mustangs will host Loyola Marymount at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Mott Gym.

NCAA Tournament Selections
Cal Poly’s season came to an end after it was left out of the tournament field announced Sunday night.
The Mustangs (16-13) finished third in the Big West Conference after winning two consecutive conference championships.
Senior opposite Kylie Atherstone made the All-Big West First Team for the fourth consecutive year. She was joined by senior middle blocker Jaclyn Houston (who made her third first-team appearance) and sophomore middle blocker Dominique Olowolafe. Senior outside hitter Ali Waller earned an honorable mention.
Men’s basketball
Utah State 97, Cal Poly 57
The Mustangs (1-4) fell to former Big West Conference foe Utah State in Logan, Utah on Saturday night.
Senior guard Chaz Thomas came off the bench to lead Cal Poly with 18 points. He was the only Mustangs player in double digits.
Freshman forward David Hanson collected a team-high five rebounds while senior forward Titus Shelton had eight points and five assists.
The Aggies (4-0), who were led by a game-high 21 points from forward Gary Wilkinson, shot 65 percent from the floor.
Cal Poly returns home to host San Francisco at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in Mott Gym.
