The Cal Poly men’s basketball team handed UC Riverside a 70-54 Big West Conference loss at the Student Rec Center in Riverside on Thursday night.
Titus Shelton led the Mustangs (15-10, 6-5 Big West) with 13 points. Cal Poly, which has won nine of its last 11 games overall, improved to 4-7 on the road. UC Riverside fell to 6-21 overall and 1-11 in conference.
Cal Poly led 32-27 at halftime before seeing its lead grow in the second half.
The Mustangs visit second-place Cal State Fullerton in a game to be televised regionally on Fox Sports Net Prime Ticket at 1 p.m. Saturday.
