A male suspect was arrested Saturday, Oct 5 at 12:30 a.m. after looking into a bedroom window on the 100 block of Hathway, according to the San Luis Obispo Police Department (SLOPD).
The female caller reported the alleged prowler after he was seen looking into her roommate’s bedroom window.
The caller was able to help police locate the suspect, identified as Sean Anderson, as officers were arriving. However, Anderson fled on foot when officers tried to contact him.
After a short foot chase, Anderson was taken into custody without any injuries. He was booked in San Luis Obispo County jail for prowling, peeping and resisting arrest.
SLOPD is encouraging residents to leave outside lights on at night and to secure doors and windows. Police are also reminding students to report any suspicious activity immediately.
“Waiting to report activity such as tonight’s greatly impedes our ability to identify and capture predators like Anderson,” a SLOPD news release read.
If you have any information about Sean Anderson or incidents of prowling, contact SLOPD at 805-781-7312.
