The Cal Poly Football team is down a few key players this season, one of them being starting senior fullback, Joe Protheroe. During a game against San Jose State, Protheroe was sacked by a 300+ pound defender and heard something pop in his leg. He later found out that this “pop” was a grade 3 MCL tear. Protheroe is able to take a medical redshirt this season and hopes to return to play in the 2018 season. Megan Healy got the opportunity to check in with the injured player.
