Cal Poly’s Indian Student Association hosted its biggest event of the year on Sunday. The Holi Festival of Colors is a Hindu celebration from South-East Asia. The festival announces the coming of spring and represents the victory of good over evil, as well as having a wide variety of other meanings.
More than 300 participants filled Santa Rosa Park with music, dancing and vibrantly colored powder. Part of the tradition is to cover friends, family and complete strangers with as much color as possible.
