Christian vocalist, songwriter and guitarist Phil Wickham will rock Mountainbrook Community Church on Sunday, May 17 at 7 p.m.
The event will help raise funds for Alpha Gamma Omega (AGO), the Christian fraternity at Cal Poly.
“For the last six to seven months AGO has been working towards this event,” business administration sophomore and AGO President Nick Meyer said.
Phil Wickham is well-known among the contemporary Christian rock music scene, so this will be one of AGO’s biggest fundraisers to date, Meyer said.
The money raised at the event will go toward sending the AGO brothers on mission trips.
“The funds help send guys to Arizona to work with the Arizona Reservation Ministries,” Meyer said. “We help with building houses on the reservations there.”
Tickets are $20 and can be purchased online at AGO’s website.
