Students will have a chance to hear the famous “A German Requiem” at 8 p.m. in the PAC on Saturday.
Cal Poly choruses and guest singers from the University of Arkansas will be joining Thomas Davies and The Cuesta Master Chorale. The combination will result in 200 skilled singers accompanied by an orchestra.
The concert is being put on by the Cuesta Master Chorale in celebration of its 25th year under the guidance of conductor Thomas Davies.
Composed by Johannes Brahms, “A German Requiem” is a large-scale work compromised between 1865 and 1868. “A German Requiem” is non-liturgical but still sacred and essentially is what its title states, a requiem in German.
