The San Luis Obispo Police Department (SLOPD) responded to a sexual assault in the area of Mustang Village on Foothill Boulevard at approximately 10 p.m. on Friday night, according to a press release from SLOPD.
The suspect approached the 21-year-old female victim from behind and pulled her skirt and underwear down, police said. The victim fell to the ground and screamed and the suspect fled toward East Foothill Boulevard.
The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male in his 20s. SLOPD is investigating the incident.
Cal Poly sent an emergency notification text and email to students at approximately 12 p.m. on Saturday.
